Month 2

Weight: 196.0

Not sure why the scale is falling fast right now, but no complaints here!

The way I have broke the plateau was actually pretty simple. I didn't use infusers from Medifast to speed up my metabolism. Instead, I drank more water, moved my carb-rich Medifast bar to the morning snack instead of the evening snack, and started exercising. My exercise schedule is proving to be difficult right now because I've been so tired this week, but I'm going to push myself to hold myself to 3 days a week when I am too tired to do 5.

Okay, I've officially passed the 25% mark for my weight loss in roughly 44 days. That's pretty awesome. I have 59.8 pounds to go, but I'm feeling really strong and positive with the recent success!

Day 40

Weight: 200.0

This has been a very frustrating 10 days. Sorry I haven't blogged lately, but I've been on such a crazy, tight schedule that it's been hard to find the time.

Plateaus are one of the most terrible things to deal with. I know it's just a number on a scale, but it really messes with you emotionally and mentally. You have to deal with the crazy thoughts in your head...what if I cannot lose more weight? What if I'm going to spend the next 6 months eating so little and never lose another ounce?

Then you get over those thoughts and come back to rational thought. How do I force my body to break this plateau as quickly as possible? So I've increased my water intake and moved my carb consumption (i.e. my medifast bar) to the morning to give my body time to deal with it. Also, I've implemented an exercise program. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings I will do a dance aerobics workout...did it yesterday and it was fine...salsa off the pounds! Tuesday and Thursday evenings, I'll do a Pilates workout. This should help tone and increase my flexibility. I'm starting that one tonight, so wish me luck!

Tomorrow, I WILL be below 200! I was so hoping today it would be there, but I know it will tomorrow!

Day 30

Okay, at the 1-month mark officially. I've lost 17.2 pounds. That's pretty awesome for any diet! I feel totally great and ready for month 2!

Day 29

Weight: 201.0

Almost past the 200 mark!

It will be such an emotional high to see a '1' at the front of my weight. I had my measurements taken yesterday at the Medifast center, and I've lost 24 inches! Of course, they take measurements everywhere and then add up all of the numbers to get that sum, but it's still very exciting. I've lost 4 inches in my bust alone!

Trucking forward! 29 days down, 153 to go! Looking forward to the halfway mark in May!

Weight: 202.8

My 25% mark for weight lost is 197.6, so I'm pushing to get the next 5.2 pounds off so I can have that success! Wish me luck!
